Monday, April 1st
Well, last week was a great break from school work and the stress from classes. For half the break I went to New York City and I loved it. I did so much like go to the Statue of Liberty, see the 9/11 Memorial, and a lot of shopping. I was amazed when I went to the 9/11 Memorial. I had to go through so much security in order to even see the memorial. I had to get my ticket checked at least three times and I also had to go through some metal detectors. There were a lot of police there so it was kind of scary. The whole memorial was great, but gave me an eerie feeling. I also got to see the new towers they are making to replace the ones that fell. It amazed me as to how much creativity, time, and effort is going into the buildings. They are beautiful and are coming out great. One of them is almost done and I couldn't help but stare at it. Although I have been to Times Square a couple times, this time I wondered about how long it took people to come up with all those electronic ideas. Times Square is full of light and color, which is very appealing to the eye. It must have took a lot of creative minds to come up with all those ideas. The people in New York City dress so much different than people in Boston and Utica do. The people seem to be so much more into fashion and are not afraid to express themselves through their clothing.
