We have already been in class for two weeks and it flew by. I realized that this semester will be different than my previous ones because I do not have many tests. The majority of my classes involved strictly reading, which is much different than my previous classes. I had my first night class ever and it was not too bad. I prefer classes in the morning, but I can do it! My graduate applications will be done tomorrow, thank god! I really had to brainstorm on my personal statement because I needed to write information about myself that made me unique compared to all the other applicants.
Last week, I went to my sisters ROTC drill meet at Proctor High School. She was on multiple teams and it was so interesting to watch. It was sort of boring, but to see how creative the teams were about the steps and moves they did was awesome. The teams were from all around New York state and wore all different styles of the ROTC uniform. The teams could represent the navy, army, or marines. The leaders of each team had to come up with a five minute routine using ROTC commands. In order to win the first place trophy, the team had to be creative and make no mistakes. The routines that I saw were great because the amount of time and hard work the students had to put in was unbelievable. I think I enjoyed it so much because each routine was so different from each other because of the amount of creativity.
