Monday February 25th

I was so busy last week I forgot to post on my blog.  I have a busy week this week because I have 3 papers due and 2 tests.  I really had to take time and think about my Juvenile Justice paper.  The class is so interesting, but I am not very educated in criminal justice terminology so I have to be creative in my paper and think about many different issues.  Last week, I tried to finish all my papers so I just have to focus on studying this week.  These are my first 2 tests of the semester so I hope I do well.
This weekend I am going to Boston and I am excited.  In Boston, I always see so many different types of people.  The life there is so much different than it is here.  I always observe how differently the people dress.  When I walk past an "artsy" school, such as Berklee the people are always carrying some form of instrument.  They dress differently too.  It is always fun observing people!

Friday February 15th

The weeks have been flying by!  I finally got all my graduate applications sent in.  I am so glad I got that totally finished and now it is just a waiting game.  Utica College responded back to me so fast.  I got accepted!  One down four to go.  I am glad that I got accepted to my back up school.  I would love to go to school in Boston so I am excited to hear back from those schools.  I still am yet to have a test in any of my classes, which is cool.  The paper I wrote in my Senior Seminar really made me use my creative mind and think of ways as to how the world would be different if we did not have to sleep.  I did not do as well as I wanted to, but it got my brain thinking.  I never really thought about it until I was asked to write a paper on it.
Yesterday was Valentines Day and I love Valentines Day!  Everyone on instagram and twitter posted the gifts their significant others got them.  Some of the gifts people got were original, such as flowers and candy.  Others took some time to think of!  My friend used all types of candy in her card to come up with a cute story.  For example, she bought the following candy: nerds rope, nerds candy, sweet arts and a milky way.  She wrote, I never thought I would "rope" in such a "nerd".  I am so happy I found a "sweet art" like you in this "milky way."  Although it was corny, it was creative!

February 7, 2013

We have already been in class for two weeks and it flew by.  I realized that this semester will be different than my previous ones because I do not have many tests.  The majority of my classes involved strictly reading, which is much different than my previous classes.  I had my first night class ever and it was not too bad.  I prefer classes in the morning, but I can do it!  My graduate applications will be done tomorrow, thank god!  I really had to brainstorm on my personal statement because I needed to write information about myself that made me unique compared to all the other applicants.
Last week, I went to my sisters ROTC drill meet at Proctor High School.  She was on multiple teams and it was so interesting to watch.  It was sort of boring, but to see how creative the teams were about the steps and moves they did was awesome.  The teams were from all around New York state and wore all different styles of the ROTC uniform.  The teams could represent the navy, army, or marines.  The leaders of each team had to come up with a five minute routine using ROTC commands.  In order to win the first place trophy, the team had to be creative and make no mistakes.  The routines that I saw were great because the amount of time and hard work the students had to put in was unbelievable.  I think I enjoyed it so much because each routine was so different from each other because of the amount of creativity.
